Earlier this year, Apple announced its plan to ask its users if they are willing to share their data for more targeted and personalized advertising, which can severely hurt Facebook advertising. With this, Facebook warned Apple this would cut the money earned through its ad network by half. Apple didn’t stop and instead said that it is simply “standing up” for its users, which made Facebook go as far as having full-page adverts in some print newspapers. The tech giant even hosted a news conference showing small business owners making their case for how Facebook advertising helps their businesses.
