The U.S. Air Force successfully repelled a Chinese invasion of Taiwan during a massive war game last fall with the help of an advanced sixth-generation fighter jet, drones, cargo planes, and other novel technologies that were never seen on the battlefield before. The troops were able to prevent a total takeover of Taiwan by confining Chinese forces to a single area. Although they lost lives and equipment during the battle, their success marked improvement to similar war games held over the last two years. The war also showed the U.S. service members that they can win over China if they change.
