The U.S. Army has finally entered the final phase of competitive development and risk reduction before kicking off the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program after awarding both contracts to Bell and Sikorsky-Boeing team. Within the contract, Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium, Bell, and the Sikorsky-Boeing team are set to both conduct a preliminary analysis of requirements for Special Operations Command. Some of the requirements that the team must exhibit in the prototypes they’ll be creating include medical evacuation and features that allow the aircraft’s export to other countries.
