Earlier in March, the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) hosted Exercise Emerald Warrior, the largest annual special operations exercise in the U.S. military. The Exercise Emerald Warrior is an annual event that teaches and prepares units and operators on current and future battlefields. This year is slightly different as the Exercise Emerald Warrior has an unexpected twist that shows Pentagon’s recent shift from counterterrorism to great power competition. Special operators from France and Lithuania participated in the training as well.
