The Pentagon has hired Israeli firm Smart Shooter to provide U.S. special operations forces with a new advanced computer system for their rifle sites. Smart Shooter is set to create an improved “smart sight” for small arms. The optic design is based on Smart Shooter’s SMASH 2000 system, which makes it possible for shooters to spot threats and calculate the optimal point of aim easily. The system can target moving objects as well, including small drones.
