SOCOM shifting to great power competition strategy, but needs more ISR capabilities, commander says | USNI News

According to Army Gen. Richard Clarke, forty percent of U.S. Special Operations Command is ready for great power competition, but still needs more ISR capabilities. Specifically, SOCOM needs electronic warfare defenses and modernized intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance hardware and software. The new alignment is set to tamp down some of the disinformation China spreads about its Indo-Pacific region activities. Clarke also added that modernizing the country’s precision strike, ISR, and data collection analysis will help them see and sense the battlefield.
