With the hopes of resuming strategic talks on bilateral relations and the withdrawal of remaining U.S. combat forces in the country, Iraq has formally sent a request to the current U.S. administration. If granted, this will be the first talk under the Biden administration. The relationship between the U.S. and Iraq has been unstable after the U.S. airstrike in January 2020 that killed Iranian Gen.
