Marines test Javelin missile teams in rubber rafts “like Somali pirates, but better armed” | The Drive

In the recently concluded Exercise Castaway 21.1, the Marines teams trained to engage enemy naval forces for the first time. The teams are armed with Javelin anti-tank guided missiles based on the Somali pirate’s attack in the Gulf of Aden around two decades ago. The training’s main scene is to establish a simulated Expeditionary Advance Base (EAB) on Japan’s Ie Shima island.
