For the third time around, the U.S. Army has made significant changes on their new fitness test after lawmakers expressed apprehension. The newest version locks in the plank as an alternative to the leg tuck. This is because the leg tuck is considered the hardest of the six test events. Another significant change on the new fitness test is that the job-specific standards for soldiers and the scoring system that is based on gender have been lifted.
