On average, humans lose interest in as fast as eight seconds, which means that our attention span is much shorter than we expect. Our short attention span is even made shorter as focusing is very difficult with everything trying to get our attention. Luckily, staying focused is still achievable through various ways, including having a good sleep, exercising, getting exposed to the environment, and doing brain training activities. Meditation, proper diet, and the like also helps.
