As Pacific tension continues between China and the United States, the U.S. Navy and Air Force have signed a contract worth $414 million to purchase 137 Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles. The contract also includes purchasing support equipment, systems engineering, logistics, and training support. Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles has a range of about 300 nautical miles and does not rely on guidance from another source. Instead, locate targets with onboard sensors. The anti-ship missile is also jam-resistant and hard to detect.
