Previously banned by the Army, soldiers can now buy the Pentagon-approved tourniquet once again after a retired Green Beret’s medical supply company, Combat Medical LLC, settled a lawsuit. The federal government banned the tourniquet over procurement law violations in October last year. Combat Medical LLC is owned by a retired Green Beret who believes adding the Tactical Mechanical Tourniquet to the Army’s inventory can save lives on the battlefield.
