Just in: Top Army intelligence official lays out priorities | National Defense Magazine

Must Read

Lt. Gen Laura A. Potter, deputy chief of staff for intelligence, G-2, has a new mission statement focused on how the Pentagon will train, equip, man, and resource the intelligence community. This new mission statement has shifted the Army’s focus into people, readiness, modernization, and allies and partners. The “people” initiative focuses on building cohesive teams and looking into what knowledge future intel analysts should have. At the same time, readiness is aligned on Army’s regionally aligned readiness and modernization model. On the other hand, modernization will ensure that the field equipment can do the sophisticated intel it needs to do against a peer adversary. Finally, the office will also focus on strengthening relationships with allied and partner nations.
