In a report from the Center for Responsive Politics, the nation’s biggest manufacturers of arms spent $20 million alone last year to influence policy. The country’s biggest manufacturers include Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon Technologies, and General Dynamics. In the previous two decades, they have spent around $2.5 billion in lobbying with over 200 lobbyists who previously worked in government and an additional $285 million in campaign contributions.
