In the attempt to watch out what the U.S. is planning, Iran has used commercial satellite images to monitor Ain al-Asad Air Base in Iraq. According to Iran, the barrage was “fierce revenge” for the assassination of Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Soleimani is an Iranian soldier killed by the U.S. on a drone strike days before the attack last Jan. 7, 2020.  It was also revealed that Iran purchased satellite images of the base on the day of the attack and the U.S. Central Command knows everything about it.
