Study finds possible link between blast exposure and Alzheimer’s disease | Army Times

In recent research funded by the Army, researchers have found that troops exposed to explosive military shockwaves have a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. The finding could also explain why a lot of individuals from war zones that are not exposed to blast still suffer from persistent neurological symptoms. Such neurological symptoms include headache, depression, memory problems, and irritability.
