Amid a global pandemic, several U.S. companies have received an offer from a Chinese company, Beijing Genomics Institute, to set up their testing lab. The offer isn’t just a simple one as the Chinese company wants to have access to the DNA of those tested, which might be a threat if allowed. Although the U.S. declined their offer, the company was able to set up around 18 labs in different countries, putting those who were tested at risk.
