Before, the trend was to answer questions as long as you can. Now keeping it short and simple is preferable. Ideally, a pitch should only last for 15-30 seconds. Going beyond it makes you obtrusive.  This means that you have to be on point in answering questions and, if possible, keep the interview under 45 seconds only. Keeping it short is very important, knowing that the average attention span is at 8 seconds only.
