In a matter of weeks, two hate and violent symbols have been found on Navy ships, forcing the service’s top officer to end this unacceptable behavior inside the troop. According to Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday, they must better understand the problem, get into it, and then eliminate the conduct that is driven by extremist beliefs. One of the racist graffiti was found in the restroom of Carrier Strike Group 1’s flagship. That being said, a report containing dozens of recommendations to stamp out discrimination has been released last week.
