Swedish troops join French-led Takuba task force in Mali | France 24 News

The Swedish parliament has deployed over 150 soldiers in a new European special forces mission against Mali’s jihadists. The Swedish soldiers are stationed in the Liptako region, which is a danger done near the border of Mali with Niger and Burkina Faso. The troop is backed with three US-made Black Hawk helicopters and a medical unit and is expected to stay until December 31, 2021.
