In an announcement made last week by Army’s Project Manager Soldier Lethality, it has been confirmed that the U.S. Army will be purchasing the Multi-Role Adaptive Design (MRAD) rifle for its soldiers. The rifle is from Barrett, a well-known firearm maker. Specifically, the Army is set to buy around 2800 for Army Snipers and EOD personnel. MRAD is known for its versatility and modularity, alongside its modular adaptive design that allows rapid removal of the trigger assembly.
