Shortly after the successful flight test of the MQ-9B SeaGuardian drone, Reaper drones are now allowed to hunt down submarines. The flight test took place in November, wherein ten sonobuoys were deployed. Using drones eases the burden on manned maritime patrol aircraft at a lower price. This initiative is a part of the U.S. Military’s program of incorporating technology in their field to make things faster and more reliable.
