US Army taps industry for autonomous drones to resupply troops | Defense News

After a few years of waiting, the U.S. Army is taking further steps to acquire drones that are already technologically mature to deliver excellent capabilities while weighing less. The drone will be used to deliver supplies to the field; thus, it is expected to carry around 800 pounds. The troop has been working with several companies, but to no avail and is very hopeful that to find a drone that suits their needs this time.
