Luis Martinez works as a porter at the Trinidad bus station in Cuba. He always aspired to travel the world but never had a chance. Instead he was able to chat with many tourists and studying old atlases by night as a way to see and travel. His interest led him to write more than a thousand poems about cities and landmarks around the world. “I travel by reading”, the imaginary artist said. Martinez has never left Cuba, yet he describes each place in his poem as if he had seen it in his own eyes.
