The FBI and National Guard are preparing for nationwide protests as the inauguration draws closer. Investigators believe these protests could potentially turn violent. “Armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the U.S. Capitol from 17 January through 20 January,” stated the FBI bulletin. Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson, chief of the National Guard Bureau, has also stated that the National Guard is preparing to support local law enforcement.
