Change is inevitable in life. It could either make or break us of who we want to become. The question we should ask ourselves is how do we learn to adapt to change? Julia Samuel wrote in her book, This Too Shall Pass: Stories of Change, Crisis, and Hopeful Beginnings, that “Change is the one certainty of life, and pain is the agent of change, it forces you to wake up and see the world differently, and the discomfort of it forces you to see the reality of it. It’s through pain that we learn, personally and also universally.” We should learn how to change because it is only through acceptance that we grow and transform our lives for something greater than we imagine.
