Nigerian army rescued 642 abductees in 6 months | AA News

Nigerian special operations and Army troops have rescued 642 abducted civilians in the past six months in the country’s northwest region. Brig. Gen. Benard Onyeuko, director of Defense Media Operations, said: “220 armed bandits were neutralized while 197 of their camps destroyed during Operation Sahel Sanity.” Firearms and ammunition were also recovered throughout numerous missions. These troops also stopped 165 attacks and 81 kidnapping attempts by bandits and terrorists in the country.
