Boko Haram kill villagers in Christmas Eve attack | BBC News

On Christmas Eve Boko Haram fighters attacked the village of Pemi in Nigeria, killing at least 11 people. The village is largely occupied by Christians, and militants burned homes, the church building, and captured a priest. Pemi is located near Chibok, where Boko Haram fighters kidnapped 200 schoolgirls in 2014. Militia leader Abwaku Kabu stated that they “burnt 10 homes and looted food supplies that were meant to be distributed to residents to celebrate Christmas.”
