NASA’s Artemis comprise of 18 astronauts who will revolutionize the agency’s efforts to return to the moon by 2024. 10 of which are active-duty military members who share different backgrounds. “I give you the heroes who will carry us to the Moon and beyond — the Artemis Generation,” said Vice President Mike Pence at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In the next three to four years, the astronauts will train, test, and design the equipment needed to land and live on the moon for extended periods and their military experience has greatly been an asset to the mission.
