Vista Outdoor CEO and Director Christopher Metz make comments regarding the ammunition demand during the company’s quarterly earning conference that was held in November. The shortage is projected to last until 2021 considering demand for ammunition is heavy while the inventory still remains low. “Simply put, consumer demand continues to outpace our ability to supply” Metz stated. In addition to the shortage, data from the NSSF says this year alone there are 6.2 million new shooters, which is more than twice the amount in years past. Vista Outdoor recently has purchased a new factory in Arkansas in order to meet the demands of consumers.
