Punjab police’s Counter Terrorism Department released a statement on an operation that led to the arrest of five Taliban terrorists from Afghanistan. The group had been planning to bomb the Civil Secretariat that houses the offices of the province’s civil bureaucracy. The CTD stated that the terrorists were arrested while on their way to the Punjab Civil Secretariat in Lahore. A stash of improvised explosive devices, a hand grenade, and pistols were confiscated as well.
