Afghanistan

Afghan Special Forces from the National Directorate of Security tracked down and captured two Islamic State rebels in the eastern Nangarhar province. Izharullah, also known as Khaksar, was among the two captured. In Jalalabad city, a joint raid conducted by police and Special Forces also resulted in the arrest of two kidnappers who were involved in the abduction of employees from the Ministry of Interior.

Honduras

U.S. Air Force Special Tactics operators from the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron have deployed to Honduras after a request for humanitarian aid due to the recent hurricanes. Part of a Joint Task Force with Bravo and U.S. Southern Command, the operators will be conducting personnel recovery, providing medical care, and bringing in other forms of humanitarian aid.
