Brian Tally, a Marine Corps veteran, is fighting for his pending bill case that will help veterans with proper medical treatment. He was injured in medical malpractice five years ago and he doesn’t want others to go through the same pain. The bill requires the VA to provide basic legal advice for veterans who file malpractice claims to ensure their legal rights are protected. The bill is now in limbo and if the proposals do not pass by January 3rd, the legislative slate is wiped clean and Tally will have to start over the next year. He was assured by lawmakers involved that they hope to include his measure in the end-of-year wrap-up. Tally remains optimistic that his mission will continue and will fall in the right place.
