The Navy SEAL Foundation pledged $50,000 to support research to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies on helping veterans in treating post-traumatic stress disorder using the drug ecstasy. It is expected to assist large-scale trials of the psychoactive drug MDMA, also known as molly, backed with psychotherapy. Supporters of the researchers believe it could revolutionize treatment for the disorder and it hopes to drive other organizations supporting special operators to raise funds for the research as well.
