Fort Hood leaders meet with Vanessa Guillen’s family, say gate will be named in her honor | Army Times

Vanessa Guillen’s family met with Fort Hood leaders in Texas to see design concepts and survey the proposed site of a memorial gate that will be named in Guillen’s honor, according to the central Texas installation. Fort Hood also announced the start of a year-long effort to stem sexual assault and harassment, extremism, racism, and suicides after Vanessa Guillen’s tragic death. This also brought attention to review the Army’s Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program (SHARP).
