A special operations veteran sat down with a local news agency to talk about his experience with what many might know as the mission that is Black Hawk Down. For Mike Durant it is not just a cool military story, because he lived it and continues to everyday. After the helicopter that he piloted was shot down he was held prisoner for 11 days. He continues to reflect on all who were not able to come home alive. Durant has received numerous awards for his sacrifice including the purple heart.
