Moody PJ gets Silver Star for heroism amid Afghan ambush | Air Force Magazine

An ambush in Afghanistan left pararescueman Staff Sgt. Nicholas Brunetto with no other option but to step in and be a hero. Eight soldiers were left injured along with another three partner forces being injured. He ran through fire over five times to deliver lifesaving care including blood transfusions. He has received the Silver Star award and has thanked his team for the award, claiming this as a team effort.
