China and Russia have become a growing concern to the U.S. in the past several months. The authors, David Barno and Nora Bensahel, describe their concerns with the U.S.’s need to switch from weapons firing to more maneuverable technology in order to combat any opposition. The mission of particularly a secured home defense also is in question. As Americans are practically unbothered by affairs overseas, the authors make a point towards the vulnerability with cyber-attacks. Because of this, the U.S. military is looking towards new ways of cyber defense. Doing this successfully will assure that the nation’s military power remains a vital one across the globe.
