The Taliban’s strength has only been growing stronger as they terrorize villages and ramp up their attacks. Some Afghan officials fear what might happen if the US leaves the country. An agreement signed in February outlined that the Taliban would curb their violent attacks and US troops would leave, yet fears are rising that the Taliban might not follow through on their end of the deal.
