Whether or not the DOD spent their COVID-19 funds correctly is now being investigated. This comes after the Washington Post called out the DOD for spending the majority of 1 billion dollars that they received through the CARE ACT for military contractors and not medical supplies. This has been under scrutiny from many law makers. According to the Hill, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D) has also said the Pentagon did nothing illegal, but this can depend on what one thinks the department’s spending priorities are.
