Over 750 residents within 1.6-mile radius of a discovered World War II bomb have been evacuated in Poland. The Tallboy bomb is located under a waterway in the port of Szczecin. The Navy believes it will take five days to defuse the 5.4-ton bomb. The bomb was used by the British Royal Air Force as a means of destroying large Nazi-controlled objects with underground shocks. Experts from the 12 Division of Balers in Wolin believe the bomb was most likely used in April of 1945, but they are unsure as to why it never exploded.
