Airman who helped more than 30 people survive Las Vegas shooting finally recognized for his heroism | Task & Purpose

Benson was enjoying a country music festival in Las Vegas, watching Jason Aldean’s set when he recognized what was going on. There was an active shooter and while many people shutdown, Benson knew those around him needed his help. His training in the military for first aid allowed him to save lives as he helped treat the wounded and risked his own life to guide those confused to shelter. Three years later he is finally getting recognized for his heroism. He was presented the Airmen medal for saving over 30 lives.
