Sgt Steve Bosworth, now a retired US Marine Corps, recalls his military service from 1967 to 1970 as a teen in his deployment during the Vietnam War. He said, “I believe Viet Nam instilled a chronic paranoia into my psyche. I now have what seems like a hard-wired compulsion to check and re-check my surroundings. I never trust the status quo. As a civilian, I eventually fell into a sales role and later formed a consulting business with a friend.” His military experience helped him gain the confidence that he was part of a team, if things went bad, he knows he is not alone.
