An eight-wheeled amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) produced by BAE will be delivered to the California Marine units in the next few months according to Marine Corps officials. It is set to replace the tracked amphibious assault vehicle that the Corps has been using since Vietnam. The first batch will go to a platoon of Marines with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division.
