Two parents and their two children were leaving the parking lot of a Costco in California on Saturday, when a man opened the backdoor of their car and tried to take the two-year-old toddler. The parents rushed out to confront the stranger, then the father punched the man once before getting on top of him. The scene drew a crowd including an off-duty police deputy who took control of the situation. The kidnapper, Adam Glavinic, was arrested but was able to make his $100,000 within 24 hours. The mother of the child, Jennifer Lawson, stated “he will do this to someone else and who knows if it’s a single mom or the husband isn’t quick enough, and the guy takes off.”
