In the Mediterranean aboard the Hershel “Woody” Williams special operations members are being trained. These trainings include areas like small boat and aircraft operations. The ship is being assigned long term to be present in AFRICOM trainings despite being a US Navy ship. The ship remains deployed with its two crews including the gold and blue crew. They will rotate during the deployment.
