Major General Hryhoriy Halahan has been named the new commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Ihor Luniov from the position. Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation will now be focusing more on eradicating pro-Russian militants and prevent further tension with Russia. President Zelensky also noted that the new commander will be more proactive in enacting proper countermeasures.
