Camp Taji is the eight site to be completely turned over to the Iraqi security forces as they continue the fight against the Islamic State and other terror networks. Deputy coalition commander Maj. Gen. Kenneth Ekman commented that the camp is often used train the Iraqi army, Air Force, and Special Forces. Iraqi security forces also noted that they take full responsibility for the camp and will continue to train force to fight against terror groups in the area.
