NASA has released images of the comet NEOWISE that were taken by the Hubble telescope, the first images taken of comet this bright with this high of a resolution. The pictures were taken as the comet passed by the Sun while still remaining intact, compared to many comets that would have broken apart. “Hubble has far better resolution than we can get with any other telescope of this comet,” said lead researcher Qicheng Zhang of Caltech in Pasadena, California. The images were also able to reveal the color of the dust left behind from NEOWISE.
