Keramuddin Karim, ex-president of the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) was found guilty by FIFA for sexually abusing female football players. He was removed from the organization in June after pressure from human rights organizations. The Afghan government was criticized for not arresting Karim however, an operation to arrest Karim was launched around 10pm local time. There has been no further comment on the operation by officials.
